(Hat Tip to Ricky Trent)
I just received this article from my brother, from the New York Sun, which describes some, though not all, of the national activities of the so-called “Stop Cop City” terrorists such as Extinction Rebellion, ANTIFA, Food Not Bombs, D.S.A., and A.N.S.W.E.R. Importantly, journalist Maggie Hroncich with the Sun exposes the “Nationwide Summit to “Stop Cop City” taking place in Tuscon, Arizona February 23-26. I will try to be there, but if anyone closer wants to go incognito, please contact this blog.
Journalist Hroncich mentioned five states where the “Stop Cop City” terrorists are gathering. She focuses on the damage done in Atlanta and the upcoming action in Tuscon. As they have done in the past, under the cover of the American Friends Service Committee and Quaker Meeting Houses, Tuscon is a target because there are white-collar firms located there that have Atlanta police as clients:
“The insurance provider for the police foundation have their headquarters in Arizona. The contractors building Cop City are not bound by the geographic limits of one city or state,” organizers wrote on social media. “The movement to Stop Cop City cannot be, either.”
The Atlanta Police Department tells the Sun it is openly and actively investigating ongoing vandalism by the protesters.
In December, the department, along with federal and local agencies, announced a $200,000 reward for information that leads to the identity and conviction of arson suspects, whose actions have spanned Georgia and four other states, police said, causing nearly $10 million in damages.”
Geez, I didn’t know there was a reward. I spend my own money doing this. I’m getting a lot more motivated to get those license plates off my phone. Too bad I hate technology. But hey, I have them.
It’s bracing that reporters around the country are catching on the the modus operandi of these terrorists: pick a target, make it as appealing as possible by bringing in other causes (Gaza, transgenderism), find a martyr (“Tortugita”), and George Floyd the whole damn place. Here’s more from Ms. Hroncich. Remember this is in a regional New York paper:
Last year, arsonists set construction equipment on fire and targeted private contractors as well as police facilities and vehicles, including setting fire to one police precinct that had an officer inside, the department said. [Just Like the Weather Underground, Obama’s favorite terrorists, used to do.]
[T]hey’ve taken credit for this,” [Atlanta’s Police Chief] Mr. Schierbaum said. “They’ve taken credit for each of the construction sites that have been hit, they’ve taken credit for attempting to burn an occupied police precinct, they’ve taken credit for attempting to burn Path Force precincts, and they’ve taken credit, proudly, for not only attempting, but setting on fire, a youth center right here in Atlanta, Georgia.”
Last week, an iconic Atlanta tavern, Manuels, known as a popular watering hole for local politicians, was vandalized … and its locks superglued shut in an incident that Atlanta police said was likely related to the Cop City protests.
“For someone to use spray paint [and fire, and superglued locks] to intimidate elected officials and those that were gathering there that night to talk about the future and how that particular party can bring out the best policies is concerning,” Mr. Schierbaum said on Thursday.
Manuel’s “was spray-painted two nights ago, but we’ve seen fire be used over 20 times, arson has been used to intimidate elected officials, private sector individuals, …” he said. Anybody attempting to intimidate elected officials, he said, will “have the attention of this police department. We will identify them, we will arrest them, and no one should think they can just hide in the darkness and try to intimidate those that have been elected to serve this city.”
The training center’s backers say the site’s training courses, lab to test new technologies, and mock streetscape to simulate real-life encounters will improve police professionalism and “enable them to execute their oath to provide for the safety and security of the people they protect.”
Supporters of the training center include the city’s Democratic mayor, Andre Dickens. Mayor Dickens told the Sun:
“Our Public Safety personnel need modern, quality training programs and facilities throughout their careers — from their first day in the academy to routine training thereafter,” a representative of Mr. Dickens told the Sun. “This includes the most progressive training curriculum in the nation which includes learning and practicing de-escalation skills, mental health training, anti-bias training and building relationships with residents and strengthening community trust. That is what the Public Safety Training Center is about.”
Good on him. Good on those Atlanta City Council Members who supported this initiative, knowing that not only our police, but also firemen, and woefully undertrained EMTs need the best training a city like Atlanta can provide.
Of course, in the crazy anti-matter world these anarchists call home, they have conflated anti-Israel and transgender and gay activism with their opposition to “Cop City.” Pro-Gaza is currently winning out, though the gay HRC (Human Rights Council) is scrambling to fundraise off the event and stay relevant.
Come on guys: you’re too old and rich and white for this. And I’m old enough to remember when you HATED transgenders.
In seriousness, all good people, from synagogues to churches to temples and elsewhere, should call their representatives this week to urge support for “Cop City” and speedy arrest and prosecution of the nihilistic terrorists trying to burn it down.
I need to add here that it’s not five cities that have seen combined “Stop Cop City” and anti-Israel protest. Manuel Teran, AKA “Tortiguita’s” parents visited 70 cities on tourist visas (she admitted she was on a tourist visa — he’s a more seasoned radical and didn’t say it out loud), to pump up rioting. Tortiguita may have been mentally challenged or mentally ill — possibly schizophrenic, but his parents are seasoned radicals from Venezuela. What are they doing here?
Also hundreds of college campuses and municipal townships have seen anti-Israel protests and anti-police protests. Something big may be coming on January 18, the first anniversary of police shooting “Tortugita” — after he shot them.
This 70 city tour is something I personally heard in the Decatur, GA Quaker Meeting house, which makes them an accessory to any crimes arising from this “action”:
The anti-Cop City movement’s leaders, who have been wreaking violent havoc in Georgia, are spreading their efforts beyond the Peach State and are planning for hundreds of protesters across the country to converge at Tucson, Arizona, for the “Nationwide Summit to Stop Cop City,” scheduled for February 23-26.
We need eyes on the ground, in the conference, in Tuscon. The best disinfectant is sunlight. And while I’m sure federal and local officers will be there, they can’t write openly about this unless and until they can prosecute the offenders.
The first trial for an Anti-Cop City terrorist in Georgia begins in the Atlanta Fulton Court next Wednesday. From the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
One of the 61 defendants named in a RICO indictment relating to opposition of Atlanta’s planned public safety training center goes on trial Wednesday. Ayla King filed a speedy trial demand shortly after the indictment was filed. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams will preside.
We need anti-terrorist, pro-police, pro-firemen, pro EMT court observers there.
